This recipe for baião de Dois with black-eyed beans leaves nothing to be desired for the traditional recipe because it is prepared in a very tasty way, sauteing the ingredients well. The end result is the same as a fresh two-handed baião, but more practical and faster! Come check out the step-by-step photos.

Ingredients for making Baião de Dois with black-eyed beans:

 1 cup of cooked rice

1 cup of cooked black beans

 1 tablespoon of butter

 1 small onion

 4 cloves of garlic

 100 grams of bacon

 dried pepperoni

 200 grams of curd cheese

 green scent or coriander

 salt

 Black pepper

How to make Baião de Dois with black-eyed beans:

Separate the ingredients. Chop the onion, garlic and green/cilantro scent and cut the rennet cheese and bacon into cubes. This recipe is perfect to make with that rice and beans left over from lunch.

To make this baião of two we used a single pot. In this case, a crockpot, which works very well for this type of recipe. Start by heating the pan well and browning the bacon in butter (the bacon should halve and be crispy).

Tip: Don't have a crockpot? No problem, make it in a deeper skillet or another pot you have at home.

Then add the onion and leave until it wilts. Then add the garlic until golden.

Add the dried pepperoni pepper (very little, because it is very strong!) and mix. This dish should be slightly peppered.

Then add the rennet cheese, mix and let it brown.

Add the cooked rice and let it taste for about 1 minute.

Tip: The ideal is to use a white rice cooked in a simple way, if you use seasoned rice the flavor may end up interfering with the recipe.

Add herbs: green scent or chopped cilantro.

Tip: In this case I used frozen, but if you have it fresh it will be better!

And finish by adding the cooked beans, stirring well and leaving for another minute. If you think it's necessary, adjust the salt and pepper - I didn't think it was necessary because the rice and beans were already cooked and seasoned and the bacon is very salty.

Serve next and get ready for an explosion of flavors! Did you like this simple and fast baião-de-two recipe? Prepare at home and let us know in the comments!
